ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED

A MAN needed hospital treatment after he was robbed of his mobile phone.

The 21-year-old victim was walking alone along Lower Ford Street, in Hillfields, at around 3am on Tuesday October 6, when he was approached by four men.

The gang struck him on the head with an unknown weapon, and then took his mobile phone, leaving him with minor cuts to his face, and concussion.

He was taken to University Hospital, in Walsgrave, for further treatment.

Police sealed off Lower Ford Street, between Hood Street and Raglan Street, so forensic officers could carry out routine tests.

Four men were arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident.
